Who We Serve

Trust & Probate

We work hand in hand with attorneys, trustees, and executors who are doing estate/trust administration to provide the accounting and tax services required throughout the estate/trust administration period.

Individuals

We serve individuals who have complex tax situations that require more than a self-prepared Turbo Tax return. The tax rules are constantly changing and becoming more complex to navigate, so we are here to do that for you. We also specialize in decedent tax returns and related estate matters.

Privately Held Companies

We serve closely held businesses of all sizes and in a variety of industries including real estate, professional services, and retail. The business may be operating as a sole proprietorship, S-corporation, LLC, or corporation.

Our Services

Trust & Probate Taxation

We prepare fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates, which have their own unique taxation rules and tax brackets, so careful planning is required to minimize tax liabilities for the trust/estate and the beneficiaries.

Fiduciary Accountings

We expertly prepare fiduciary accountings, which list all transactions during a fiduciary period. A fiduciary accounting is commonly required during a probate administration and may also be requested by beneficiaries during a trust administration.

Estate Form 706 & Gift Trust Tax Return Form 709

We assist executors/trustees with determining if tax returns are required, and we prepare the required returns. Sometimes it is beneficial to file Form 706 even when not required, to claim portability of the unused estate exemption, and we work with executors to determine when that would be beneficial.

Tax Planning & Projections

We want to help you minimize your tax liability by helping you plan for your tax liability ahead of time, particularly when there are large or unusual transactions to consider.

Tax Returns

We prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, and flow through entities including S-corporations and LLC’s.

When an individual passes away, there is typically (1) a final individual return to be filed, and most likely, (2) fiduciary trust or probate estate tax returns to be filed for the administration period.  Some estates are required to file a tax return that lists all the assets of the estate.  (This is called Form 706.)
